Donate with care. Give with dignity.

At ReWear 360, we believe donating clothing should feel thoughtful and respectful — for the people who may receive it, and for the planet we all share.

A helpful rule of thumb before donating is this:
If you wouldn’t feel comfortable giving it to a friend, neighbour, or family member — please don’t include it.
We’d always rather help you decide than see something thrown away unnecessarily.

What We Accept

We accept clean, dry, reusable textiles that still have life left in them.

Clothing:

  • Men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing
  • Everyday wear and seasonal clothing
  • Workwear and durable clothing
  • Jumpers, jeans, shirts, dresses, activewear, bras

Items should be in wearable condition, with no major damage.

Shoes & Accessories:

  • Shoes (paired and wearable)
  • Bags, backpacks, belts
  • Hats, scarves, and accessories

Shoes should be clean enough that you’d feel comfortable handing them to someone directly.

Linen & Manchester:

  • Towels
  • Sheets
  • Doona covers, pillow cases
  • Other manchester items

All linen must be clean, dry, and odour-free.

What We Can’t Accept

To protect dignity and avoid creating waste elsewhere, we cannot accept the following:

  • Wet items, mouldy items, or anything with strong odour
  • Underwear (unless new with tags)
  • Dirty shoes or single shoes
  • Snow gear
  • Pillows, blankets, doonas, or mattresses
  • Broken household goods, toys, or electronics
  • Curtains
  • Hazardous items (chemicals, medical waste, sharp objects)

These items are difficult or impossible to reuse responsibly and often end up in landfill — which we are actively working to prevent.

Donation Standards (Important)

We can only accept items that are:

  • Clean
  • Dry
  • Odour-free
  • Re-wearable or reusable
  • Bagged or boxed

These standards help us:

  • Sort efficiently
  • Protect volunteers and partners
  • Ensure dignity for recipients
  • Keep textiles out of landfill

How Much
Should I Donate?

To keep collections efficient and sustainable, please aim for:

At least 10kg (around 2–3 full bags) per pickup

If you have a smaller amount, consider holding onto it until you’ve finished sorting through your wardrobe or linen cupboard.

Packing Tips
(Quick & Helpful)

To make your collection smooth and stress-free:

  • Use sturdy bags or boxes
  • Clearly label: “ReWear 360 Collection”
  • If possible, separate items into:
    • Men
    • Women
    • Kids
    • Linen
    • Shoes

On collection day:

  • Place items out by 8am, or
  • Leave them in a safe, dry, and accessible spot

Not Sure About an Item?

That’s okay — many people aren’t.

If you’re unsure whether something is suitable:

  • Ask yourself if you’d give it to a neighbour
  • Or simply include it and let us assess it responsibly

We’d much rather guide you than see usable textiles thrown away.

Why This Matters

Every carefully chosen donation helps:

  • Reduce textile waste
  • Protect dignity locally and overseas
  • Strengthen the circular economy
  • Prevent landfill here — and elsewhere

Thank you for taking the time to donate thoughtfully.
It truly makes a difference.
